Cortanze is a small, sparsely populated comune spread across its two frazioni, Roera and San Rocco, on a ridge northwest of Soglio. Like most of this cluster it's agricultural country — vineyards, hazelnut groves and pasture — with no major sights of its own, but a genuinely quiet corner of the Monferrato hills.

Bric del Vento, in Soglio — about 3 km, a 4–5 minute drive. It's a real working vineyard estate with comfortable rooms and tastings of our own wines, right in the heart of the Monferrato hills around Cortanze.
It's a residential farming hamlet rather than a sightseeing destination — its appeal is the quiet countryside rather than monuments.
